BWE successfully completes the Lexus GX Active tour site. Lexus provides detailed training so their dealers are knowledgeable on the Lexus GX.

The GX Active training tour web site is operating in parallel with the training event, January through March 2010. BWE is providing hosting and maintaining the site during the three month period of the training tour. Apex, LLC was in charge of the event-training program for Lexus and solicited BWE to develop the web site.

BWE rapidly deployed the functional site and customized the graphical look and layout required, by working closely with Apex Performance's primary project contacts, Jeff Myrtle and Diane Butman. By adapting the Apex artwork into a web layout, with clear navigation, the site launched in about four weeks.

The site included easy-to-use features to provide dealers with current information during the event. A password protected web-based admin area allowed event organizers at Apex to quickly and conveniently update content and assign access. Included in the work scope were:

• Notes From the Road Content Manager with Image Upload Allows for quick push-button publishing of content and images. Each training session can be documented in this blog-style forum with minimal HTML knowledge.

• Virtual Postcards Image Gallery The image gallery allows event organizers to post images with captions to the site. Dealer's can view full-size and thumbnail versions of each image or postcard in the gallery.

• Training Materials Library Event organizers can upload pdf files of training materials, which are linked to thumbnail images with captions for the dealers to access. The thumbnails give dealers a preview of what document they are accessing.

• Dealer Extranet Each dealer gains access by log in with their unique credentials. Once logged in, dealers can find out when their training session are scheduled, read the Notes from the Road, view Virtual Postcards in the image gallery, and have access to training material they need or want for future reference.

• Dealer Reporting Event organizers can track the number of times a dealer logs into the database.

BWE worked directly with the event organizer, Apex Performance LLC, in developing the site. Apex Performance is located in Irvine, CA. Apex undertakes major press introductions and promotions for the top car companies.
